A few things to know.
Is Glide in the Mac App Store?
No. Glide is distributed directly as a DMG from solotechdev.com.
Why does a free beta need a license?
The same licensing system will support the future paid subscription. Starting with it now keeps activation and the eventual transition predictable.
Will the beta stay free forever?
No. Every free beta license is intended to move to a paid subscription. We will announce the price and transition deadline by email before payment becomes required.
What happens without internet?
After a successful validation, the app receives a signed 30-day license document. It can continue during that period without contacting the server.
What identifies my Macs?
Glide creates a random installation ID and stores it in your Keychain. The licensing service does not use a hardware serial number.
